Johnson has sat on the board for almost 7 years. Johnson will be succeeding A.J. “Bert” Moyer — who was appointed Chair of the Board in July 2013. And Johnson is the company’s first female Chair over its 39 years in business. What does CalAmp do? Based in Irvine, California, CalAmp has been publicly traded since 1983 and has 20 million products installed and more than 1.3 million software and services subscribers worldwide. LoJack, Tracker and Here Comes The Bus are CalAmp brands. Johnson had joined CalAmp as a director in December 2013. Plus she currently serves on the boards of Intuitive Surgical and Essex Property Trust. Johnson previously served as a Director of Mellanox Technologies until its sale and as Executive Chairman at Author-it — a software platform for creating, maintaining, and distributing single-sourced content. Plus she also led MarketTools, a privately held SaaS company, as CEO from 2005 to 2008 and as Chairman until the company was acquired in January 2012.
