Development of a Low-Noise Smart Sensor will provide the United States Government with the capability to remotely monitor subcritical experiments at foreign test sites. Nuclear explosion monitoring operations need to be prepared to provide forensic information for potential future nuclear explosions tested away from known nuclear test sites. This project will develop a software package geared towards the automatic digitization of hardcopy seismograms from historic nuclear explosions detonated under a variety of geophysical conditions.
