WATERLOO, ONT., May 4, 2021 – Curiato Inc. today announced a CEO transition with the appointment  of Dr. Thomas P. Stewart to the role of Interim CEO. The expansion of the leadership  team will enable Curiato to accelerate its commercialization timeline and scale-up. Dr. Stewart is an industry veteran who is the founder of the National Pressure Injury  Advisory Panel (NPIAP) and has served in various senior leadership roles with Gaymar  Industries, Stryker, Milsport Medical, and Board positions with the Roswell Park Cancer  Institute and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership. “I am thrilled to be joining as Interim CEO,” said Dr. Stewart. “The progress made under  the founding team has been tremendous. I am honoured in the trust placed in me to  continue this tradition and also for the opportunity to lead our team on the next leg of what  promises to be an exciting journey. Dr. Sylvia is an experienced clinical leader with deep expertise in the nursing  and wound care space with industry experience through roles with Stryker and Gaymar Industries. A Hamburg dental instruments manufacturer is planning a move to Orchard Park at the former Gaymar Industries facility. A. Titan Instruments has filed a $4.2 million plan with the Erie County Industrial Development Agency to consolidate two locations in Hamburg into the Gaymar site, a 111,000-square-foot facility on 15 acres on Centre Drive. Plans call for the company to occupy most of the building, though it may lease some space or keep it for future expansion needs. According to plans filed with the ECIDA, the company will add 10 jobs with the move, growing from 30 full-time to 40, plus five part-timers. A public hearing on the project is slated for May 29 at Orchard Park Town Hall, to be followed by a full ECIDA vote at its June 18 meeting. Founded in 1998, A. Titan dental products are sold in more than 10 countries with manufacturing taking place at its Main Street site in Hamburg and through a partner in Germany. The deal would bring medical device manufacturing back to the facility. Gaymar, which made cooling devices and pressure ulcer management products for health-care customers, closed in early 2013 two years after the company was acquired by Stryker Corp. in 2010. A. Mystic Pharmaceuticals, an Austin-based biotech company focused on new methods of drug therapy delivery, has received an approval from the U.S. Patent Office for its technology that allows for treatments to be delivered in powder form. That method will allow pharmaceutical companies to formulate powders for nasal, nose-to-brain and under-the tongue administration of medicines. Timothy Sullivan , the president and CEO of Mystic, said the latest patent approval comes is nearing the end of intense research and development it has been focused on since it was founded in 2003. That activity has been funded with $26 million from investors and the company is poised to move into the commercial operations mode some time next year, which Sullivan said will require a new round of funding of “significantly more” than eight figures, though he declined to reveal the exact amount. Mystic’s main delivery technologies are VersiDoser and VRx2, which are used in the treatment of ocular and central nervous system neurodegenerative and infectious diseases. See Also

Sullivan said the company is well positioned for its next phase because its 11,000-square-foot facility in northeast Austin will allow it to produce all of its products and materials internally, though future partnerships with larger pharmaceutical companies may require a change to the production framework. Mystic currently has eight employees and that number is expected to grow as the company prepares to shift into commercial operations.
