Zenovia Digital Exchange Names Michael Weaver, MediaMath VP Publisher Services, as New CEO Previously Ran Supply Relationships for MediaMath Brings Deep Expertise on Demand Side Needs to Leading Exchange Serving Mid and Long Tail Publishers February 25, 2013 11:32 AM Eastern Standard Time NEW YORK--( BUSINESS WIRE )--Zenovia Digital Exchange, the leading programmatic media platform for mid-to-long tail publishers online, announced today that Michael Weaver, someone with unique visibility into their business, has joined the company as CEO. Formerly the Vice President, Publisher Relations for MediaMath, Weaver managed that company’s relationship with every exchange and programmatic sell-side platform online. His experience with Zenovia demonstrated for him just how much more efficient Zenovia’s Velvet Rope technology is for buyers seeking premium audiences with far greater efficiency at scale. “We’ve had great success working with Zenovia and look forward to working with someone who understands the needs of the buy-side as well as Michael obviously does,” said Mike Oullette, Head of RTB for Chitka. “Programmatic trading online is all about efficiency, and efficiency is absolutely the long suit of Zenovia’s business model.” No matter which metrics a given buyer’s campaign performance is based on, Zenovia’s performance metrics compare favorably to those of any other platform or exchange in the business. Since Zenovia serves mid-to-long tail publishers, however, the lower rates they charge buyers, combined with this industry-leading performance make for far greater efficiency – as much as 4X-5X on most campaigns. Additionally, campaigns run on the Zenovia Exchange enjoy the quality assurance of the Velvet Rope discrepancy rates that average less than 1% thanks to Zenovia’s unique content distribution technology. “We are very pleased to have Michael join our team,” said Dwight Ringdahl, Chairman, Founder, and CTO of Zenovia. “He is uniquely qualified to lead our company to become a top five supply side partner in the industry.” Zenovia’s Velvet Rope technology blocks bot-generated and other bad traffic by running instantaneous programmatic routines against internal and external quality metrics that identify poor quality and fraudulent impressions, then “block them at the door.” Advertisers benefit from the guarantee of clean, quality traffic. Publishers benefit because these bad, useless or even harmful impressions are kept from competing with their quality inventory. “Last summer I was very impressed by Zenovia upon our initial due diligence of them as a potential MediaMath supply partner. Their breadth of supply and discrepancy rates were among the best we had seen,” said Weaver. “Zenovia’s advantage is having the Velvet Rope technology installed at so many publishers beyond the comScore 500. Not only does this provide 15%-20% efficiency gains by filtering traffic from bots, but its speed and low discrepancy rates also provide the ability for buyers to reach premium audiences at far lower rates.” About Zenovia Digital Exchange Zenovia Digital Exchange provides the leading programmatic media solutions for mid to long tail publishers online.
