About Zel Technologies

Zel Technologies is a company that received a Department of Defense SBIR/STTR grant for a project entitled: Network Attack Damage Assessment. The abstract given for this project is as follows: Zel Technologies proposes to provide a proof-of-concept prototype and demonstration of a system for mission-oriented network attack damage assessment and impact analysis based on top-down predictive analysis and modeling of potential effects-based adversary behavior. We will use results from application of the Automated Course of Action (COA) Modeling system, a Phase II SBIR effort, to represent adversary goals and objectives as enemy COAs with temporal information, observable manifestations and countermeasures for each enemy goal and sub-goal. This information will enable Command-level decision makers and subordinate organizations to determine the effects of network cyber attacks on the mission and organization. Without a developed science, discipline, or doctrine for Cyber Battle Damage Assessment, this approach may be the only method whereby decision makers can perform damage assessments and take prevention, response, and recovery actions to assure continuity of operations.
