MORE FOR YOU Martez is a black Chicago inner-city streets entrepreneur who saw an opportunity to rise above all of his challenges and become something no one ever could have predicted - a fashion designer. This journey took him from Chicago's deadly streets to a brick and mortar store owner in Los Angeles's most highly coveted real estate zone for fashion, Melrose Ave. Ms. Stowers is proud to bring YEKIM to the small screen through a reality show concept based on his store's inner-workings. "I met Martez years ago. I saw a black man that came from a place where you don't normally make it out of," Ms. Stowers revealed. "He took life into his own hands, and against all odds, he beat a system designed to oppress him. Then while supporting black businesses in our culture, he became collateral damage when during the black lives matter protest, his hard-earned store was vandalized. Everything in the store was stolen, and years of his hard work - gone. I saw a fighter like myself, and I became motivated. Martez rose above it all, as did I. As I step into my new role as creative director, I plan to help keep Martez at the top and surround the brand with winners like Maria Menounos and Keven Undergaro." Cast members who will also be on the show include familiar faces on Love & Hip Hop, Ex on the Beach, The Challenge, WEtv, and other fashion industry names. Law Roach will also be starring as a fashion pioneer reshaping YEKIM's style and brand identity.
