Published 6 minutes ago Epic Games brings back the Spring Breakout event for Fortnite, adding in vaulted weapons, quests, and free rewards and XP to earn. Epic Games introduces the latest limited time event into Fortnite, bringing back Spring Breakout complete with Easter themed cosmetics, quests, and rewards. It's been a pretty busy season already for Fortnite, which introduced the Mega season a few weeks back. The update added a cyberpunk style futuristic city called Mega City which came with a new grind rail system, vehicles, and new weapons like the devastating and fast moving Fortnite Kinetic Blade . As a live service title, Epic Games is always tweaking the game and its available content to ensure it continues feeling fresh and getting players to log in each day. Of course, it has big seasonal updates with new battle pass content, though Epic Games has also relied heavily on limited time crossovers and events. Attack on Titan is the most recent crossover with Eren Jaeger and now, a new limited time event is celebrating the end of winter. Alongside update 24.10 for Fortnite, Epic Games is bringing back the Spring Breakout event for 2023. As expected, this means the return of the vaulted Egg Launcher , which can be found all over the island through chests, supply drops, on sale from NPC characters, as well as just regular ground loot. New Reality Augments have also been added and players can now recruit friendly NPC specialists to help out, each one with a different role to play from medic or scout, to an explosives expert and supply specialist. For many fans, the major appeal for Spring Breakout is all of the new free content and XP that is coming to Fortnite . New quests will be added daily, offering XP rewards for those that finish them as well as special Locker items including a Bloomback Sack Back Bling, Shell Smash Spray, The Works loading screen, and A Spring Breakout banner icon on specific days. However, players can also earn special gear for finishing a set number of challenges including the Nannerbloom Hammer Pickaxe for finishing 12, and then the Fresh Flyer Glider for completing 22 in total. With quests arriving daily and rewards tied to completing various challenges, players are certainly encouraged to log in every day. Regardless of the spring themed rewards, the bonus ways to collect XP should go a long way to helping players continue to complete Fortnite's Chapter 4 Season 2 battle pass and earn the various skins. Fortnite Spring Breakout Update 24.10 Patch Notes Spring Breakout Event Content Heal Eggs: These green eggs restore your Health and Shield slowly over time. Hop Eggs: These blue eggs temporarily give you a low gravity effect, and also give you Health. Golden Eggs: You can’t technically eat these eggs, but interacting with one grants you Bars! (Unlike Heal Eggs and Hop Eggs, Golden Eggs cannot be added to your inventory.) New Reality Augments: Go For Broke – Grants a Charge Shotgun and a Flintknock Pistol. Rail Warrior – You regenerate health and partial shields while on Grind Rails or Ziplines. Springtime Blowout – Grants an Egg Launcher. Game Time – Grants a Pizza Party and some Chug Splash. Collection Tab Rehaul The Collections tab is now called the "Characters" tab and now shows a map displaying the location of all Characters on the Island, both the ones you’ve discovered and the ones you haven’t. Once you discover a Character, you can view their services in the Characters tab along with how many Bars their services cost. Check out the Characters tab by opening the map in a match and navigating to the tab! Building and Editing In v24.10, a Building Sensitivity setting and Editing Sensitivity setting have been added to Fortnite's "Mouse and Keyboard" settings. With these new settings, you're now able to adjust the sensitivity of building or editing structures to your preferred speed. Miscellaneous Improved the handling turn radius of the Rogue Bike vehicle at higher speeds. Note: We've been making tweaks to reduce energy usage on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Frame rate in the Lobby will drop to 30 FPS after a period of inactivity, but will return to 60 FPS whenever you touch the controller or join a match. Competitive The Spring Breakout chickens and eggs, as well as the Egg Launcher and Springtime Blowout Reality Augment, are not included in competitive playlists. Zero Build Cups, Duos Cash Cups, and Victory Cups kick-off throughout this week. Good luck, competitors! Bug Fixes Fixed the issue involving players being asked to install Save the World even if they already had it installed. Fixed the issue with the Kinetic Blade's Knockback Slash that prevented the owner from taking fall damage. (Note: The Dash Attack will still prevent fall damage.) Fixed an issue that was capping some mobile devices to 60 FPS despite 90 FPS being available. The grind rail interaction button no longer has a delay on mobile devices. Fixed the issue that caused us to disable ziplines in Party Royale. Ziplines have been re-enabled in Party Royale. Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
