Former Xarios Technologies managing director Robin Russell has been appointed chief commercial officer at Irish-owned telecoms carrier IP Telecom . Russell has more than 30 years' experience in the telecoms sector, starting his career in technical and development roles at Inter-Tel and working on early Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) products before moving into commercial and senior management roles. "At IP Telecom, the customer is at the heart of everything we do; Robin understands the value of quality customer service, making him a perfect fit in our diverse team," said Shena Brien , CEO and co-founder of IP Telecom. "His wealth of experience in the telecommunications sector will see him playing a key role in helping us showcase our company innovative, leading-edge communication solutions to businesses of all sizes across Ireland. "We welcome Robin’s insights and expertise to aid us in continuing to be the optimal provider for business communications across Ireland." Brien and technical director Brian Chamberlain founded IP Telecom in 2010, and the leading-edge communications solutions provider now has clients across the tech, IoT, education, transportation and logistics, retail and agriculture sectors.
