Investments 02 May 2019 X-akseli , an Espoo, Finland-based software provider for the health industry, announced getting into an investment agreement with Swedish venture company Standout Capital . Following the deal, Standout Capital becomes the largest investor in the company. Prior to it, the company was owned by its employees. As part of the transaction Åke Stråberg, Marie Öberg Lindevall and Antti Larsio will join the board of directors. Åke Stråberg will become the company’s new Chairman. X-akseli, founded in 2008 and led by CEO Janne Argillander, built a platform that runs on self-service kiosks handling patient self-check-in and providing navigation guidance through the hospital visit. The company also offers information screens in hospital waiting areas and lobbies, directing patients as well as displaying general information. X-akseli has over 60 customers in Finland, ranging from the largest University Hospitals to smaller healthcare providers.
