Mar 31, 2014, 12:54pm EDT Wymsee moves into new Boston office, adds Hollywood veteran to board View Photos Justin Goltermann Alex LoVerde, CEO and co-founder of Boston's Wymsee, says his company's software, Sync OnSet, has been used by more than 350 productions across the country in the past year. Email | Twitter Wymsee , a graduate of the fall 2012 Techstars Boston accelerator whose software is used by creative design departments on movies and TV shows, has moved into a new office in Boston as it racks up clients across the country. The new 2,000-square-foot office is at 66 Long Wharf, right next to the New England Aquarium, and features sweeping waterfront views. The company has also added an independent board member, Bob Beitcher , the CEO and president of the Motion Picture and Television Fund and the former CEO of movie equipment company Panavision. In the past year, Wymsee’s web-based mobile app, Sync OnSet , has been used by over 350 TV shows or feature films. The company has so far raised $2.5 million in funding from such sources as Laconia Ventures, Rose Park Advisors, CommonAngels and Hub Angels. The company's software replaces the traditional three-ring binders that different creative department heads carry around detailing various parts of a production. A studio can subscribe to Sync OnSet for the length of the production for $500 per month per department. Features include budgeting, photo sharing, collaborating and inventory tracking. “We replaced the Rolodex with software in the '80s and '90s,” said founder and CEO Alex LoVerde , a 25-year-old Boston College graduate who splits his time between Cambridge and Los Angeles. “Now we’re just doing that for the film industry.” LoVerde’s company got its start in 2012 working on the HBO show “Boardwalk Empire. " After Wymsee was used on the set of “Boardwalk,” one of his contacts in New York, “Boardwalk” costume department supervisor Joseph LaCorte , sent out an e-mail to costume departments across the city, saying that Sync OnSet was a winner.
