Zopa’s 2025 Fintech Pledge doubles its membership

Dec 14, 2022

22 fintechs have now joined Zopa’s 2025 Fintech Pledge to help tackle the cost of living crisis, with at least 15 more members in the pipeline. Blue Motor Finance, Canopy, Open Banking Excellence, PayPlan, Penny, Plaid, StepChange, Tink, The Financial Inclusion Alliance, and Wollit have now signed up to the coalition, and more members are set to be announced in the new year. The pledge aims to drive 10 million consumer actions by 2025 that will help to build up the financial resilience of UK customers. These actions focus on four key pillars: making savings work harder; improving credit scores; consolidating debt; and lowering utility bills. More than one million actions have been reported since the Fintech Pledge was launched by Zopa Bank and ClearScore in September 2022. “Financial concerns are impacting more people than ever due to inflation and increasing interest rates,” said Jaidev Janardana, chief executive of Zopa Bank. “Launching the pledge was a natural step for us, as the ethos of driving better financial outcomes for customers has always been in our DNA, but it has been fantastic to see so many fintechs and allies embrace it too. “As we get ready to roll out our first set of 2023 consumer partnerships, I actively encourage members of the UK fintech ecosystem to help UK consumers weather this financial shock by joining the pledge.”
