0 Message : *Required fields WASHINGTON - Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $666,000 grant to the Winchester Economic Development Corporation of Winchester, New Hampshire, to help make roadway, sewer and water infrastructure improvements needed to establish a manufacturing-focused industrial park. According to grantee estimates, the project is expected to create 243 jobs and generate $19 million in private investment. 'We commend the Winchester Economic Development Corporation for their focus on boosting the region's manufacturing sector to create new jobs,' said Deputy Assistant Secretary for Regional Affairs Dennis Alvord. 'This project will provide critical infrastructure for a new, manufacturing-focused industrial park that will create jobs and strengthen the region's economy.' This investment will support the construction of roadway, sewer, water and drainage infrastructure to establish the 24-acre first phase of a 55-acre manufacturing-focused industrial park. When complete it is estimated that the park will be built out to 120,000 square feet of industrial space within nine years.
