Got it! Topline Anna Sorokin—a scammer and fake German heiress known as “Anna Delvey” who is on house arrest—is launching a podcast in which she and guests will discuss modern concepts of right and wrong, Delvey’s latest media project following her fraud conviction. NEW YORK, NEW YORK - NOVEMBER 16: Anna Delvey poses for a photo at her home on November 16, 2022 in ... [+] New York City. In 2023, the fake heiress announced she was starting a podcast. (Photo by Mike Coppola/AD/Getty Images for ABA) Getty Images for ABA Key Facts Throughout the series, Delvey will talk about “the concept of rules” with guests she describes as “the people who make or break” them, per the show's trailer —with a roster of guests that Deadline reports will include Julia Cumming, Whitney Cummings, Julia Fox, Jeremy Harris, Emily Ratajkowski and Kenny Schachter. Sorokin told Deadline the podcast is the first time she will have her own platform “to share my personal views on the public’s fascination with my life story” while talking to others about “how rule breaking can build you up as well as tear you down.” The podcast is recorded from Sorokin’s East Village apartment, where she has been living on house arrest since October, when she was released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody in New York; she was in ICE custody for overstaying her visa after she was released from prison in 2021. The podcast is produced by Audio Up, an audio based-entertainment company, and will be distributed through Audio Boom. Key Background Sorokin was convicted of grand larceny, attempted grand larceny and theft of services in 2019. Some reports estimate that Sorokin scammed more than $200,000 from hotels, friends and financial institutions, and attempted to take out a $22 million loan. When committing the crimes, she had been posing as a German heiress with a $67 million trust fund who was trying to start an elite social club, the Anna Delvey Foundation. After getting caught, Sorokin was sentenced to four to 12 years in prison, and was released in 2021 before being arrested again by ICE; she is currently fighting to stay in the U.S. and avoid deportation to Germany. Sorokin became more of a household name in 2022 after she was the subject of Inventing Anna, an award-winning miniseries from Netflix and Shonda Rhimes. After that series and her release from prison, Sorokin signed on with Wheelhouse and Butternut earlier this year for a reality television series —to be hosted out of her apartment while on house arrest, like the podcast—in which she would host dinner parties at her home. There have not been any updates on the reality series’ release date or production, and Wheelhouse did not immediately answer Forbes’ request for comment. Surprising Fact Sorokin is also planning to release her debut single, written by her and produced by Audio Up CEO Jared Gutstadt, who has written theme songs for Pawn Stars and Glass, Deadline reported . The title of the song has not yet been released.
