Compartir Este jueves en las oficinas de WeWork se realizó el evento Connect: Santiago, un concurso de pitches (presentaciones) que startups nacionales del ámbito de la tecnología e innovación, para conectarlas con el ecosistema de los principales medios de comunicación del país. La competencia, organizada por Publicize con apoyo de ChileGlobal Ventures de Fundación Chile, reunió a ocho emprendimientos, Ok to Shop, Ecocitex, Good Players, Wheel The World, WareClouds, BeeTechnology, Flair y Appsistente, quienes expusieron los detalles de sus negocios. El jurado, integrado por editores y periodistas de innovación y startups de Diario Financiero, TVN, La Tercera, El Mercurio, Radio ADN, Radio La Clave y Startups Latam, eligió como ganadores a Ecocitex, Wheel the World y Wareclouds, en el primer, segundo y tercer lugar, respectivamente. Ecocitex, la ganadora Los emprendimientos fueron evaluados en base a tres criterios: modelo de negocio, originalidad y atractivo para los medios de comunicación, y el problema que buscan solucionar y su impacto. El primer lugar se lo llevó la startup Ecocitex, startup busca fomentar un modelo circular de los textiles con la ropa en desuso, donde la que está en buen estado la vende, otra parte la transforma en hilados -los que comercializa para que las personas elaboren nuevas prendas- y también vende productos, como frazadas, hechos a partir de las prendas. Recientemente, el emprendimiento fue afectado por un incendio en sus instalaciones en Santiago, por lo que su fundadora, Rosario Hevia, afirmó que "hoy día ya nos estamos levantando, y estamos aprovechando todos los espacios para salir adelante". El premio que se llevó la startup fue un mes de servicios de campañas de relaciones públicas de Publicize, equivalente a US$ 1.500. En tanto, el segundo lugar lo obtuvo Wheel The World, startup de viajes para personas con discapacidad.
