Share Article Western International Securities (WIS), an independent wealth management firm and fully-owned subsidiary of Atria Wealth Solutions, has opened a branch location in downtown San Jose, California. The new office expands the firm’s nationwide wealth management presence into Northern California. WIS turnkey affiliation helps financial professionals to transition into independence by offering them team of trained support staff as well as technology and critical infrastructure needed to serve clients. Atria CEO and founding partner Doug Ketterer said: “We are thrilled to unveil the new office in San Jose. Not only is it one of the finest buildings in the region, it’s an important location for us as we support the trend of financial professionals in the San Francisco Bay area who are considering going independent.” According to the company, its financial professional partners will benefit from a full suite of modern tools available to Atria broker-dealers. These include access to integrated advisor platform Unio, fee-based advisory platform Contour and intuitive client-facing portal Clear1. WIS president Don Bizub noted: “We understand the complexities of starting a new practice. The turnkey solution in our new San Jose office equips financial professionals with ongoing administrative, operational and technical support while offering the higher payout percentages that are available at independent firms.” WIS’s San Jose branch is located in the Ten Almaden. It features fully furnished private office, a fully equipped gym as well as modern indoor and outdoor spaces that enhances client experiences. In April this year, New York City-based Atria concluded the takeover of independent wealth manager SCF Securities , marking its sixth acquisition since 2017. The company’s previous purchases include Western International Securities , NEXT Financial Group, Cadaret, Grant & Co, CUSO Financial Services, and Sorrento Pacific Financial.
