Wessex Packaging has acquired Surepack, a major UK independent distributor of pallet film, for an undisclosed fee. https://www.surepack.co.uk/ The Bristol company will benefit from Wessex’s wider product range and global supply chain. Founded and run by Chuen Lau since 1999, Surepack is based at and will continue to operate from its Warmley site. It serves commercial manufacturing, logistics and supply chain companies with a range of packaging films, polythene products and pallet wrapping machines. Established in 1975, Wessex is one of the UK’s leading independent packaging companies and remains family owned and run. It has headquarters and national distribution centre in Somerset. Lau said: “Becoming part of the Wessex Group is the right move for Surepack and significant opportunities lie ahead. They are innovative and knowledgeable packaging professionals who will help our customers even further.” Mark Barter, managing director of Wessex Packaging, said: “Wessex and Surepack have a bright future together.
