Striim accelerates generative AI wave as a unified data streaming platform SHARE With generative artificial intelligence taking the world by storm — think ChatGPT — it has become a high-priority mandate for data teams to adopt this cutting-edge technology. For enhanced gen AI adoption, Striim International Inc. serves as a unified data streaming avenue that aids data processing, modeling and movement, which later on streams the data into target systems, such as Databricks, Snowflake and Google Cloud infrastructure, according to John Kutay (pictured), director of product management at Striim. “Striim is unified data streaming for generative AI, analytics and operations,” Kutay said. “We love helping our customers infuse real-time data into their decisions, into their operations, and now generative AI, which is becoming a top priority for many of the enterprise data teams that we’re working with. At our presentation with American Airlines at Data and AI Summit, they were really proud of the fact that they went to production at a global scale within 12 weeks of Striim.” Kutay spoke with theCUBE industry analysts Lisa Martin and Dustin Kirkland at the Google Cloud Next event , during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed how Striim is boosting gen AI by providing real-time data, as well as insights into its partnership with Google. (* Disclosure below.) The need for real-time data is going through the roof In the current enterprise world, businesses not only need to be data-driven, but also insight-driven. As a result, access to real-time data is no longer a nice to have for companies, but it’s an imperative, especially in the current gen AI era, according to Kutay. “There was this obvious demand in the market to not only move data in real time, but to analyze it,” he said. “Now with this big wave of generative AI, you want data automatically making decisions for you. You want your customers to talk to a smart AI-driven bot that knows everything about them and can answer questions for them, and this all requires real-time data.” Based on the quest to bring data into gen AI, the partnership between Google and Striim is geared toward this objective, according to Kutay. As a result, Striim ensures that the data incorporated into Google Cloud is reliable. “We’re really proud of our partnership with Google,” he pointed out. “If you’re a BigQuery user, you go into the add data button, Striim’s right there. You can launch it from your console. Striim is a Google Cloud-native product.” Here’s the complete video interview, part of SiliconANGLE’s and theCUBE’s coverage of the Google Cloud Next event : (* Disclosure: Striim International Inc. sponsored this segment of theCUBE.
