Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs pointed to a level of promotions that was a touch lighter than anticipated. Heading into Cyber Monday, the potential for heavy discounting in the retail sector was a concern of analysts. Notable gainers included Qurate Retail ( QRTEA ) +14.8%, Wayfair (NYSE: W ) +6.3%, Hour Loop ( HOUR ) +5.1%, Etsy (NASDAQ: ETSY ) +3.2%, Newegg Commerce ( NEGG ) +3.1%, Solo Brands ( DTC ) +1.6%, and Thred Up ( TDUP ) +1.2%.
