Advanced Water Recovery (AWR) has closed on a comprehensive equity package from Black Canyon Equity and has acquired the services of Water Street Solutions, an industrial water treatment solutions development company. Water Street Solution’s management team will join AWR in promoting and managing a unique process for treating high salinity waters. The AWR process desalinates waters by utilizing chemistry that induces super saturation, forcing crystallization of dissolved salts at ambient temperature. TDS concentrations of 300,000+ ppm are reduced to less than 150 ppm, while leaving only dried solids, and no liquid reject stream. This is accomplished at dramatically reduced operating and capital costs compared to existing technology. AWR is currently constructing a commercial facility in the Marcellus region, which is expected to be operating by mid-summer of 2014.
