A Look at iSelect’s New Energy Company: Ward Alternative Energy

Dec 28, 2015

iSelect’s newest Portfolio Company, Ward Alternative Energy, is a high-growth company in the natural gas fuels industry disrupting the $134 billion truck fleet fuel market. “Natural gas is the fastest-growing fossil fuel…” says Forbes. The Wall Street Journal says, “Natural gas is set to emerge as a significant new transportation fuel over the next five years…” Most impressively, on April 2, 2015, UPS announced that it plans to purchase and deploy 1,400 new compressed natural gas vehicles over the next year. UPS, Coca-Cola, Ford, and Waste Management are just a few of the over 50 companies who trust Ward with their NGV fleet. Why is there such big news over natural gas fleets? Natural gas is cheap, plentiful, clean and sourced right here in the United States. Ward Alternative Energy, headquartered in Colorado, is the Rocky Mountain and Midwest Region’s most experienced provider of natural gas fuels and vehicle services. Currently Ward has six fueling stations open and another five in construction along US I-25 with plans to expand north and south on I-25 and east and west on I-70 between Denver and St. Louis. These fully automated fleet fueling stations offer excellence in service, a unique mix of alternative fuels and cutting edge design. * Paul Nelson serves as President of Ward Alternative Energy, Inc. iSelect Fund Management, LLC will include companies for investment via funds it manages where members of its Selection Committee are equity owners, officers, directors, or otherwise involved in management provided that any member of the Selection Committee with such an interest in a company being considered is required to abstain from evaluating the opportunity and may not make any recommendation to the iSelect Fund Investment Committee with respect to such company.
