VoodooVox is an advertising, technology and services firm that has created an international marketplace for In-Call Media. The company aims to allow the creation and delivery of interactive audio media into the massive telephony market. VoodooVox has developed technology that combines Web marketing techniques with the unique qualities of the phone network. The company's In-Call Network Exchange (ICNx) aims to provide the mechanism for call publishers to bring their telephony applications to the network and instantly access a robust advertising market. Advertisers, in turn, enjoy simplified access to hundreds of millions of calls from a diverse network of call publishers through the ICNx. In December 2011, VoodooVox was acquired by Call Genie. Under the terms of the agreement, Call Genie issued 11.25 million shares to VoodooVox shareholders, as well as agreed to pay an additional $1.8 million in cash over an unspecified period of time. Call Genie's stock price on the day of the acquisition was $0.12 which coupled with the $1.8 million in cash works out to a valuation / acquisition price of VoodooVox of $3.15 million. Given VoodooVox's financing to date, this sale represented what the media reported was a "firesale".
