How Nutcase Helmets is benefitting from Jaguar's new Portland incubator Aug 3, 2015, 12:02pm PDT Industries & Tags Vonsor launched its first… more Business Pulse Justyn Baker Justyn Baker, founder and president of Vonsor Vonsor , the first startup to work with the team at Portland’s Jaguar Land Rover tech incubator , has its first live customer campaign using its social media engagement platform. The company’s platform allows brands to easily interact with their fans and secure fan-generated video content in exchange for points that can be used to buy product. Vonsor’s first campaign is with quirky helmet maker Nutcase Helmets. Using the Vonsor platform, Nutcase fans can upload videos of their experiences with Nutcase’s helmets. If the videos are accepted, Nutcase will use them in social media and online campaigns and award fans discounts for online purchases. Nutcase already receives such fan-generated content, said Tom Rousculp , digital and social media manager for Nutcase. Using Vonsor’s tool is a natural progression. “So Vonsor’s new platform is a great addition to engaging more with those customers, building relationships and helping reward them for being a Nutcase fan,” he said. Vonsor has worked within the Jaguar Land Rover technology center in Northwest Portland. A meeting between Vonsor Founder and President Justyn Baker and Jaguar’s head of future infotainment Matt Jones led to the creation of the Jaguar Land Rover tech incubator. The two met at a Portland tech meetup. When Baker told Jones what he was building, he'd not, at the time, thought to tie the Vonsor platform into cameras mounted on cars. Now, Baker is working with the team at Jaguar to not only build out his platform that he can sell to brands such as Nutcase as well as use the automaker’s expertise to enter the growing in-car entertainment technology space.
