Now socialized as well as personalized, Vodio breaks out 3.0

Feb 12, 2014

Photo Credit: PR Content discovery is pretty hot these days and Vodio is showing no plans of leaving the kitchen. On the contrary, the personalized video discovery platform announced today the release of their latest version in the form of Vodio 3.0. For those that know what they want and those that don’t The new design features additional search tools and multi browsing capabilities allowing users to search for fresh or parallel content without exiting their current video. For those of extra social ambition, the updated design also includes new social sharing options in an effort to help personal discoveries double as tools of virility for the never ending struggle to remain relevant in this cutthroat world of Social Media. And for those who only have a vague sense of what they want, Vodio is using algorithmically curated channels to present users with broad-based thematic content options like Toddler TV , Workout TV and Electro Shack for example. This all comes in addition to what the company has always been offering;  a platform that browses behaviors and even social profiles to custom populate user video feeds with what it believes will match their interests. “The video content discovery and sharing space has changed drastically over the past couple of years,” says Vodio CEO Jonathan Messika, “There’s too much noise on the web and people have become frustrated with the amount of non-relevant content. Users expect to get what they want, when they want, and not have to browse through endless amounts of videos till they get it. This is the core belief and what inspired our personalized approach to video discovery.” Vodio Labs was founded in 2011 by Uri Twig, Jonathan Messika and Ishay Weinstock. The company raised $800K back in June of 2013 in a seed round led by RSL Venture Partners and BTG Pactual with The Bank of Brazil, Empire Angels, and others contributing as well. Vodio’s offices are located in Tel Aviv, Israel. ציוץ Avi Schneider English editor and writer for Geektime, author of the book 'How To Fight For Your Goals: Social Combat Theory' and the SocialCombatMedia.wordpress blog, founder of Cluboom.com and former senior writer for Blonde 2.0. Schneider is an orthodox Jew, husband, father, martial artist, writer, speaker - overall Jack of all trades and a master of jack (but working on it). Tags:
