Hengeler Mueller advises funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. (“Oaktree”) on acquisition of nursing home operator Vitanas/Pflegen & Wohnen Oaktree has acquired the nursing home operator Vitanas/Pflegen & Wohnen („Vitanas“) from the Burkart family and the Andreas-Franke-Group. Vitanas is the sixth-largest private operator of nursing homes in Germany with 58 homes, approx. 8,300 nursing places and more than 6,200 employees. The group is offering the full spectrum of nursing services. Vitanas generated revenues of approximately EUR 350 million in the financial year 2016. Oaktree is a leader among global investment managers specializing in alternative investments and is headquartered in Los Angeles/USA. Hengeler Mueller has advised Oaktree on this transaction comprehensively.
