May 8, 2023
May 8, 2023 The industrial sector, surrealist art, geometry, Greek mythology and the expressiveness of the human face. The 2023 news of Masiero – a Treviso-based company in the lighting sector with headquarters and factory in Casale sul Sile – take inspiration from various fields. They are deliberately transversal proposals resulting from the collaboration with established designers, such as Favaretto&Partners, Nicola Gallizia, Nava + Arosio Studio and Valerio Cometti+V12Design, and are designed to satisfy the most varied aesthetic and design needs and to be able to dialogue with both internal and with outdoor spaces. The same versatility also shines through in the materials used, including metal shaped into various shapes, glass and onyx. Here are the main innovations, all developed and created internally thanks to the experience and skills of the professionals who take care of each stage of production. Visio’s references to Surrealism “Research and experimentation are the engine of our ideas and the union between content and aesthetics is our design goal”. This is how Paolo Emanuele Nava and Luca Maria Arosio di Nava + Arosio Studio describe their approach to design. The same from which the design of the Visio collection conceived for Masiero was born, made up of elements that mention Surrealism and are inspired by the expressiveness of human face. The Visio lamps – available in suspensions, floor models, table models and wall compositions – are characterized by a tubular metal painted in a glossy chocolate color that is curved to generate a face in its entirety or in compositions as desired. A mix of geometry, mysticism and imagination ideal for residential and contract spaces. The industrial spirit of Cordea Signed by the studio Favaretto&PartnersCordea is the result of a modern reinterpretation of the traditional lights installed in industrial warehouses. Produced in both the indoor and outdoor versions, Cordea has a bell-shaped metal body refined by a wide band made of leather (for the indoor proposal) or rubber (for the outdoor proposal). Nine, in all, the colors available for the galvanized metal body: gold, dark nickel and rose gold for the interior light and six shades in painted metal that recall the nuances of nature for the one that was instead designed for terraces and gardens. Hebe, quote from Greek mythology In classical iconography, Hebe, according to Greek mythology goddess of eternal youth, daughter of Zeus and Hera, is always represented with harmonious shapes. It is by drawing inspiration from her myth that the architect and designer Nicholas Gallizia designed the homonymous collection of interior lights for Masiero. Lamps characterized by the dialogue of two very different materials such as natural onyx, used for the base, and the brass metal mesh that outlines the mesh lampshades that delicately filter the light. Tee, between geometric rigor and curved lines Designed for Masiero by the Milanese studio Valerio Cometti+V12Design, Tee is a family of lamps characterized by tubular metal stems with a round section and luminous spheres, designed by the company, engraved with spiral parallel lines. Flexible in terms of use and modular in configurations, the collection is produced both in the indoor version, with spheres made of Murano glass, and in the outdoor version, with polyethylene.
