Save Article Digital marketing firm Verndale announced its acquisition of boutique Web development agency Viridian Spark on Wednesday. The employees of the Cambridge, Mass.-based Viridian Spark will integrate with Verndale’s workforce; Viridian Spark co-founder Huy Tran is headed to Houston to open a new Verndale office there. In addition, Boston-based Verndale will assume many of Viridian Spark’s former clients, Verndale said in its announcement . Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The expansion to Houston will give Verndale its fourth U.S. location, following the opening of a new Chicago office earlier this year. Viridian Spark, which specializes in Sitecore development, was started in 2009 and since then has worked with a varied list of companies, including Cushman & Wakefield, Maybelline and the University of Massachusetts Boston. “Viridian Spark is a great fit for Verndale—our cultures, skillsets and goals are all aligned,” Matt Pisapia , chief operating officer at Verndale, said in a statement. The acquisition of Viridian Spark will also add a third Sitecore MVP , Viridian Spark co-founder Chris Lees , to their team. Verndale was founded in 1998 and has worked with clients like the Boston Athletics Associations, Goodwin & Procter and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay.
