立足超快速药敏市场,「Vibronix」如何灭掉耐药菌的“威风”? 上世纪40年代,青霉素作为第一种应用于临床的抗生素,成功解决了临床上金黄色葡萄球菌感染这一难题,随后问世的大环内酯类、氨基甙类抗生素又使肺炎、肺结核的死亡率降低了80%,当时曾有人断言:人类战胜细菌的时代已经到来。然而事实却并非如此,抗生素的使用在不同程度上降低了药效,让细菌出现了耐药特性,导致耐药菌慢慢变得“强大”起来。 细菌的侵入及抗生素的广泛使用使得临床感染病菌不断变迁,多重耐药菌感染率和患者病死率逐年增加,这给医院感染防控带来了巨大的挑战。 本文文章插图来源于Vibronix,经授权使用 2014年,Vibronix美国公司开始运营,推出了软组织实时导航、光声成像设备及乳腺术中检测。2017年3月,Vibronix进入中国市场推广,一方面进行代谢法药敏检测技术的研发注册,另一方面自主研发了与代谢药敏检测匹配使用的的相干拉曼显微系统。 据了解,在现有的药敏检测中,报阳样品需通过细菌增殖方可检测,根据细菌是否增殖判断药物在多大剂量的条件下有效,而通常细菌增殖就需要4个小时乃至1天的时间,整个检测过程则需花费1―2天。而Vibronix使用的代谢法则是通过D?O(重水)代谢通路,观察抗生素中是否发生了代谢,来判定该剂量的抗生素是否有效。相比于传统的药敏检测流程,Vibronix的流程节省了培养的时间,且药敏分析由1天缩短至0.5―1.5小时,大大提高了药敏检测的效率,从而避免无效抗生素的使用,快速制定病人的治疗方案,且为医院节省了近2000元/人的治疗费用。 为了使药敏检测效果更加精准,Vibronix还针对代谢法自主研发了相干拉曼显微系统,通过高速化学键成像,从而达到高速、高清的检测效果。与自发拉曼光谱相比,相干拉曼的速度快至10000倍,并且具有化学选择性;对于样本而言,相干拉曼散射也不会对样品造成干扰及损伤。同时,相干拉曼的成像功能也具有一定优势,其图像分辨率可达200-500nm。值得一提的是,相干拉曼显微系统具备较强的灵敏度,其高速药敏检测的CA值为94.5%,而SC标准为90%,且在10min内可观测到细菌代谢变化。据了解,目前相干拉曼显微系统可检测10种菌类及20种抗生素。 本文文章插图来源于Vibronix,经授权使用 “在美国市场下,相干拉曼的检测费用需250美金,而在中国Vibronix希望采用金融采购的方式,人均检测费用1200-1500元不等。”Vibronix CEO王璞介绍到。除了检测费用外,相干拉曼显微系统的销售则是Vibronix另一重点收入来源,据悉该系统客单价在10万美金左右。截至目前,Vibronix已取得药敏方向国外专利5项,国内专利3项,并预计在2023年取得FDA认证。王璞认为,当期药敏检测存在数亿级美金的市场空间,Vibronix希望通过自身产品的不断优化完善,达到30%的市场占有率。 专业化的团队是Vibronix的另一大优势,王璞博士毕业于普渡大学,是北航特聘教授,已拥有多项 医疗器械 专利。在技术方面,Vibronix的主席&联合创始人程继新则是光学成像领域的学者,深耕生物成像与相干拉曼技术数十年。此外,还有众多激光技术、医学成像技术、图像处理和机器学习技术等领域的专家为VIbronix注入了强大的动力。 2020年4月,Vibronix完成了来自个人的A轮融资,目前新一轮的融资正在筹备当中。王璞透露,本轮资金的注入将主要用于产品的优化与注册上市阶段。 本文文章头图来源于壹图网,经授权使用。本文为创业邦原创,未经授权不得转载,否则创业邦将保留向其追究法律责任的权利。如需转载或有任何疑问,请联系editor@cyzone.cn。 责任编辑:Robot RF13015
