Rebecca Grant July 13, 2012 5:23 PM Event planning resource Venuetastic has launched a 2.0 version that makes it easier than ever for event coordinators to scout and book the perfect venue. The site lists over 5,000 hand-picked event spaces in six cities across the US and targets everyone from professional event coordinators throwing large-scale events to Moms searching for a birthday party spot. Venuetastic was the first ever female-founded company to be backed by prestigious startup incubator Y Combinator. The redesign offers enhanced tools to help users find their ideal venue. The site now includes maps, a greater emphasis on photos, more search parameters, and improved favorite and compare functions. Venue information is now organized in a clearer way, and it is easier to contact about booking. Venuetastic also features integration with Eventbrite to help with other aspects of the party-planning process. The company was founded in 2010 by Helen Belogolova and Christine Yen. It is based in Los Angeles, California and currently has 11 employees. Get more stories like this on Twitter & Facebook Press Releases
