The top-class German Internet address Versicherungen.de is now off the market: Synatix, a venture builder from Hamelin, secured one of the last top domains from the estate of the Leipzig Unister group. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Together with his team, Fabian Simon, founder and managing director of Synatix, wants to turn the domain back into one of the top brands. Even more: the Internet address is a central element of a comprehensive, expansive corporate strategy. “Versicherungen.de completes our fintech package. Financing, investing, insuring – we will soon be able to offer our customers all of this from a single source,” he explains. However, it will be some time before that happens: the official starting shot for the new portal should be in the course of 2025 at the earliest. Synatix uses it again from Unister. The domain Kredit.de also belonged to the former Leipzig group of companies before Synatix secured the rights to it in 2017. For a long time, the coveted address was considered the most valuable domain in Germany and was sold to Unister in 2008 for the then record sum of almost 900,000 euros. The Hameln-based company was one of the established players in the fintech sector even before the purchase of Versicherungen.de. Above all, the well-known financing portal KREDIT.DE is now one of the most frequented contact points for loan seekers from the entire DACH region.
