About Tubel Technologies

Tubel Technologies developed new intelligent well technologies to help optimize oil and gas exploration and production. Tubel's main product was a wireless downhole gauge that aim to provided real time temperature and pressure measurements. The two way wireless telemetry system used stress waves in the tubular string to communicate between the surface and the downhole gauge. Tubel also had an exclusive license to commercialize advanced fiber optic sensors developed by Virginia Tech in cooperation with the Department of Energy and ChevronTexaco. These sensors were for the measurement of temperature, pressure, flow and acoustics in high temperature downhole oilfield applications.
