New Story Source: pinterest.com President of Harney Motors Tryum FC Keithroy Black said his team will do “whatever it takes” to not only remain in the top flight, but to also make their presence felt. His pronouncement follows the team’s elevation to the Football Association’s Premier Division on Wednesday, after they defeated First Division champions Liberta Blackhawks, 2-1, in Tryum. “We know what it takes to stay up there, matchless, to win the Premier Division competition. I would know that because having won it back-to-back with Old Road. “So whatever area needs to be tweaked — from management right down to coaching staff, the players on the field — so at least when we go there, it would be to really and truly compete and make a fight of it,” he said. Leon Moses Jr and Danio Myers both scored in the second half following a scoreless first half to lead Liberta, 2-0, until the latter stages of the contest when the visitors pulled a goal back. The feeling, Black said, was nostalgic, bringing back memories from 10 years ago. “It took me back to 1995/96 (because) that was my first year when I took up Tryum as president and it felt that good as when I won my first championship at SAP and with Old Road. But this one felt even extra special because we had a lot of doubters, a lot of haters. “A lot of people thought it couldn’t happen this time around but I told myself (Coach Moses) and the sponsors ‘give us five years’ and we will get the team back into the Premier Division,” the president said. Coach Leon Moses Sr admitted he had doubts but is happy to have made it to the finish line. “(Tuesday) was a very good feeling for me and I never thought we would have gotten there but we got over the hunt and it’s a very good feeling for me right now. It gave me an overwhelming joy,” the coach said. Tryum join Liberta as the two teams automatically promoted to the top flight, while All Saints United and Glanvilles will contest the play-off against Ottos Rangers.
