For years Arlanda Express has sold tickets both via a smartphone, ATMs and physical Ticket Offices. But, refunding tickets or compensating travelers who bought the wrong ticket or for some reason need to receive a payment, was not as easy to do via the app. Customers have for a long time been sent to the ticket offices. This provides excellent customer experience at times of need with refunds and compensation being returned instantly and the customer needs being met on the train or platform.
