The Pipeline: Commercial real estate deals for 2.10.23

TriMark announced the promotion of Paul Parr to the General Manager (GM) role at TriMark Hockenbergs. Parr will report to Mike Siegel and continue his family legacy as the division leader. He later bought the company in 1985 and brought his sons and Parr’s parents, Mary, and Paul Sr., aboard. Parr joined the team at seventeen, stocking shelves, cleaning glasses, and other warehouse duties. After graduating from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in Accounting and Marketing, he joined the Hockenbergs Accounting team. He grew into the roles of the Controller, Vice President (VP) of Operations, and most recently, VP of Chain Services. The Hockenbergs team had expanded to six locations by the time TriMark purchased the company in 2017. “Paul and his family have spent their lives in the business. TriMark Hockenbergs Promotes Paul Parr to General Manager

TriMark SS Kemp Completes Kitchen Renovation at McKinley Elementary School in Lisbon, Ohio

            After nine months, including a three-month delay, Roy Silcott of TriMark SS Kemp completed the kitchen renovation of McKinley Elementary School, a Nutrition Inc. facility, in December 2022. Missy Adams of Nutrition Inc. contracted SS Kemp to replace old and outdated serving lines, coolers, and heated holding cabinets, among other products. After a site visit, the pair sketched an idea and Vollrath produced CAD drawings for school board approval. With Vollrath’s Julie Hein, Roy and his Pittsburgh installation team worked diligently to place products and work around parts and supply chain delays. Key installation team members, Brian Crumrine and Frank Sessi guided the project’s realization.

Roy, SS Kemp’s Equipment Sales Specialist, concentrates on TriMark’s education sector, explicitly colleges, universities, and other school systems. He has been with TriMark for over five years after twenty years of working for a French chef in Cincinnati, Ohio. His previous projects include work at Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and several school districts from southwestern Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Northern West Virginia.

“We’re more than happy to do this for any and all school operations. The McKinley project is a nice example of the quality work TriMark’s SS Kemp division produces.”

Upcoming projects include Delfield Serving lines at Charleroi Area School District, new cafeteria tables and dining area renovations to North Hill High School and Middle School, and new Piper Products Serving Lines for West Allegheny School District.

            TriMark Adams-Burch promoted Carmelo Scorpo to Vice President (VP) of Equipment and Design, driving and managing divisional equipment and contract sales and design. He will oversee Sales, Estimator, and Design Managers and work with Project Coordinators and the Install team, ensuring success in all areas. 

Before joining TriMark in October 2019, Scorpo spent twenty years as Savco Restaurant Equipment’s Operations Manager. He then spent two years as Adams-Burch’s Director of Foodservice Equipment and Design and almost one year in the Senior Director of Equipment and Design role until being awarded this well-earned promotion as VP. With well over twenty years of experience in the foodservice industry, he is excited to take this next step: 

“Joining TriMark has proven to be a great decision on both a professional and personal level. I work with an exceptional group of customers and colleagues, and I continue to be excited about the products and services that help customers realize their goals.” 

Scorpo is based in Landover, Maryland, and reports to Justin Maietta, the division’s General Manager: 

“Carmelo and his team have shown incredible results, such as a 60 percent increase in equipment sales compared to 2021. We are excited to see what Carmelo does in this newly expanded role.” 

When not working, Scorpo spends time with his family of four, watching the New York Yankees, traveling, and exploring the local eateries in the Washington DC area. On occasion, he enjoys a good round of golf.

            TriMark Adams-Burch recently promoted Jill Martin to the Senior Director of Territory Sales role. She will be responsible for growing street sales and profits. As Senior Director, Martin will hire, train, supervise, and motivate the Regional Sales Managers and Territory Sales team to increase the company’s top-line growth and bottom-line performance. 

Martin has twenty years of marketing and sales experience, with ten of those years spent at Sysco as their Sales Consultant, District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and most recently, Director of Business development. In April 2019, she became TriMark’s Private Label Specialist and quickly climbed to Regional Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and now Senior Director of Territory Sales.

“As a food lover and avid traveler, my career in foodservice allows me to combine my passions through partnering and dining with the best Chefs and Restauranteurs in the United States.”

Martin is based in Landover, Maryland, leading a Street Sales team of twenty, the Private Label Specialist Joe Casuccio, two Regional Managers, Howard Wetrogan, and one to be announced.
