Tribogenics Gets Distribution Partner In Southeast Asia

Jan 6, 2017

Friday, January 6, 2017 Tribogenics Gets Distribution Partner In Southeast Asia Los Angeles-based Tribogenics , the developer of handheld, X-ray equipment initially being targeted for metal analysis, said late Thursday that it has signed up a distribution partner in Southeast Asia. Tribogenics said it has signed up HORIBA Scientific to distribute its new Watson hand-held XRF metal analyzers throughout Southeast Asia. Tribogenics has taken X-ray technology--originally developed at UCLA--which shrinks X-ray equipment down to handheld size, using a technology called triboluminescence. That technology taps into the same physical phenomenon that makes Wint-O-Green Life Savers spark in the dark, which can be tuned to emit X-rays rather than visible light.
