No Comments The latest cancellations concern flights to and from Schiphol and Eindhoven Airport. Rotterdam The Hague Airport does not appear in the overview on the website. The cancellations affect flights to all popular (sun) destinations. Travelers and travel organizations have now been informed. An alternative flight has been found for almost all travelers who had a ticket for a canceled flight. Travelers must now decide for themselves whether they agree to the alternative flight. Travel organization Sunweb has already announced that all holidays with Transavia can continue during the high season. Transavia previously said that 5 percent of flights had to be canceled in June, but that this would be 2 percent in July and August. The airline says today that cancellations are now less than 2 percent of the total. Ex-Blue Air devices can be used The airline has been struggling with a structural shortage of aircraft since this spring. This is because major maintenance takes longer and equipment was damaged. It also kept taking longer before leased ex-Blue Air Boeings from Air Lease Corporation can enter service.
