Noname Security integrates with Swimlane, Tines and Palo Alto Networks for enhanced API security SHARE Enterprise application programming security startup Noname Security today announced integrations with leading security orchestration, automation and response, or SOAR, platform providers Swimlane Inc., Tines Inc. and Palo Alto Networks Inc. The idea is to allow joint customers to automate and streamline their security incident response processes for application programming interfaces. The integration has been designed to enhance threat detection, accelerate remediation and improve visibility and reporting to address issues with API security. In a report earlier this year , Noname Security found that thugh 94% of security professionals are confident in their current application testing tools, 78% have experienced an API security incident in the last year. With the new SOAR integrations, the company says, it now delivers a solution that can run in minutes within existing platforms. The combined Noname and SOAR platform integrations offer a range of benefits to customers, including enhanced threat protection. With the integration, Noname offers elevated capabilities by seamlessly integrating API security data with other security events and intelligence feeds for enhanced threat detection. The integration not only improves threat detection accuracy but also delivers contextual insights into potential risks. The integration offers streamlined incident response, with Noname able to trigger automated workflows, enabling customers to react more swiftly and effectively in response to API security incidents. Noname says its SOAR integrations empower security teams to automate the remediation of API vulnerabilities and threats, reducing the impact of security incidents on their organization. Users also gain access to improved visibility and reporting with the ability to harness SOAR technologies to create reports and dashboards. The integration offers a comprehensive overview of API security throughout the organization, enhancing decision-making capabilities and automating compliance reporting for more informed and streamlined operations. “API usage has hit an inflection point, prompting security teams to acknowledge the imperative need for API security as an integral part of IT workflows,” said Karl Mattson, chief information security officer at Noname Security. “By integrating with key SOAR platforms, Noname Security offers immediate access to the best protection against threat actors looking to take advantage of weak or non-existent API security.” The partnerships with expand on Noname’s existing strategic partnerships with IBM Corp., Intel Corp., Microsoft Corp. and Wiz Security Inc. “Swimlane transcends traditional SOAR technology by ingesting and correlating data from broader integration sets to take action the instant threats occur,” said Mike Kay, senior vice president of business development at Swimlane. “Together, Swimlane and Noname will enable security analysts to promptly address critical API security risks, all while automating security use cases beyond the security operations center.” Mattson spoke with theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media Inc.’s livestreaming studio, in July 2022 , when he discussed how, as security teams feel the added pressure to deliver in obscure cloud-native environments, capabilities around security need to conform accordingly: Image: Noname Security A message from John Furrier, co-founder of SiliconANGLE: Your vote of support is important to us and it helps us keep the content FREE.
