Thermatome Corporation has developed a method and technology to treat women with breast cancer with a hot balloon versus radiation. This concept and early technology has been tested in trials and the results have been published in the International Journal of Hyperthemia, Feb 2009. Thermatome Corporation is currently developing its "Thermatome Thermal Therapy" technology to transfer to clinical markets. This method can be beneficial to women whose only option is mastectomy, women who are fearful of radiation or have other physical conditions not allowing standard radiation. Thermatome Thermal Therapy can provide women worldwide with a safe and cost effective way to treat their breast after cancer removal.
