Iontera, formerly Isis Biopolymer, designs and develops intelligent transdermal drug delivery (TDD). TDD has long held the promise of non-invasive drug delivery, adding convenience, reduced costs and improved patient compliance via the application of a patch to the skin. The missing components in TDD have been controlled release of the drug carried in the patch and the breadth of drugs that can actually be transferred though skin. Iontera's patented IonIQ technology intelligently enhances and controls delivery via a single-electrode design that is governed by a programmable on-board computer.
