Versa Studios opens up Studio 12 for afternoon of discussions and evening social November 8, 2023 Manchester motion capture specialist Versa Studios is throwing open its doors this afternoon and evening for a peek at its facilities, panel discussion series and social. The event, in partnership with Pathway Indie, opens up the 8,000 sq foot Studio 12 doors to welcome the public at 2pm for a day of tech and innovation discussions and meets. Speaker sessions include such high profile guests as: Andrew Melchoir, creative technologist and producer who has worked extensively with Björk; Antonio Rasura, Kodak director; Edward Harvey, Versa studio and strategy manager; Simon Brooks, writer, director and Pathway Indie recipient for Phenomenon of Presence; Michael Ingall, chairman and chief exec of Versa Studios and Allied London, and Nathan Newman, Pathway Indie, co-founder. Discussions will be held on a first of its kind Virtual Production screen to be brought to the centre of Manchester as part of a live event and the day focuses on how Pathway Indie, the $2.5m benefit in-kind Virtual Production Incubator Program is providing creative innovation opportunities for filmmakers to think like start-up founders who innovate with media. The event is being brought to life with sponsors and partners HP and Strictly FX, and in collaboration with Sony, Panavision, Kodak, Nvidia, Pixera, Quasar Science and Neuron AV. The Versa team have previously welcomed such live events as Chaos Karts, KAGAMI , Kendrick Lamar at OGS, Arctic Monkeys Music Video, Queen pre tour rehearsal, commercial campaigns for Gucci, Lacoste, Lando Norris’s Quadrant, as well as recent TV entertainment projects – The John Bishop Show, Justin’s House, Celebability and Bafta winning Friday Night Live amongst others. With long term clients BBC Morning Live and Cloud Imperium Games.
