Tenant Rep Specialists Eidson, Perry Join Avison Young in Atlanta Toronto-based CRE Firm Acquires The Eidson Group to Continue Expansion Print Avison Young, the Toronto-based commercial real estate services firm pursuing an aggressive growth strategy under chairman and CEO Mark E. Rose, made its latest acquisition in Atlanta buying the two-man tenant representation firm The Eidson Group. Following the acquisition, Douglas Eidson has joined Avison Young as a principal and Scott Perry joined the firm as an associate broker. Eidson had operated his own firm for 16 years specializing in representing office tenants. Before launching his own company, Eidson was an associate broker with Grubb & Ellis in Atlanta. Perry joins Avison Young after serving for five years with The Eidson Group. He was previously an associate with CBRE in Atlanta from 2007 to 2009. Avison Young opened its Atlanta office in January 2010 when Steve Dils joined the firm as a principal and managing director. AY then proceeded to acquire two local firms: Hodges Management and Leasing in July 2010; and Barry Real Estate in October 2011. The firm's Atlanta office has more than 75 employees with approximately 20 million square feet under property management. Atlanta serves as the hub of Avison Young’s Southeast expansion, partnering with other U.S. offices on several projects. The Atlanta-based Southeast Capital Markets Group also works with the firm’s Canadian offices, particularly Toronto and Vancouver, to assist Canadian investors with crossborder investments in commercial and multifamily property in Southeastern and Sunbelt markets.
