Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the transaction will expand FastMed’s footprint to 104 locations spread across Arizona, North Carolina and Texas. Both companies are privately held. Enlarge FastMed Urgent Care has acquired Texan Urgent Care facilities in Austin and several other… more In addition to its San Antonio clinics, Texan has facilities in Texan Urgent Care operates Central Texas facilities in Austin, Bastrop, Georgetown, Kyle, Manor and Waco. It also has five clinics in the San Antonio area and one in Tomball, near Houston. Brent Stone of ABRY Partners , a private equity firm and FastMed’s majority shareholder, said the deal for Texan represents FastMed’s “initial foray into the Texas market.” Stone added that ABRY is fully committed to “providing all resources necessary to develop the largest and highest quality urgent care operation in the state of Texas.” Medical personnel at FastMed facilities will treat more than 1 million patients in 2015, company officials said. Dr. Ashish Singhal , founder of Texan Urgent Care, said the company took an interest in FastMed because the two companies share a similar level of commitment to accessible, quality care. W.
