Red letter day for TESS graduates Published 31/10/2015 | 00:00 Email It was a red letter day for five members of the Training, Employment and Social Skills (TESS) programme at St. Joseph's Foundation Charleville when they graduated from the three year programme, which was conducted at their based at the Forge building at Broad Street, Charleville, which also houses the Forge Restaurant. Share Comments Graduates Niamh Horgan, Aisling Leahy, Timothy Moloney, Darren Moloney and Jonathan Lowe were congratulated on their fine achievement when they received their nationally recognised qualification at the graduation ceremony at the Deebert House Hotel in Kilmallock. Ms Margaret O'Callaghan, director of the TESS programme welcome the graduates and their families and friends and outlined the course which provides learners with the three year foundation programme to equip them with personal, social and work related skills that will enable them to progress to greater levels of independence, autonomy and community inclusion. The programme was expanded to include F.E.T.A.C. certification modules and operates under the Quality & Qualifications Ireland assessment and quality assurance procedures. The proceedings were opened by Mr. David Doyle, manager of the Adult Services at St. Joseph's Foundation who welcomed everybody to the ceremony. Ms Triona Ryan of the HSE Mid-West and South who monitored the progress of the participants over the three year duration of the course thanked all who had been involved and wished them well for the future and she also thanked St. Joseph's Foundation for their support. Mr. Eamon McCarthy, chairman of St. Joseph's Foundation presented each participant with their certificates. Graduate Timmy Moloney was also presented with the Gaisce Award (the President's Award) for basketball. In his address Mr. McCarthy said that everybody in the Foundation looked forward to the graduation ceremony each year and he thanked all the staff and the HSE who administered the TESS programme and said they and the graduates and their families could be very proud of their achievements.
