Terminus Adds Enterprise Tech Veteran Gavin Dimmock to Fuel EMEA Expansion

Terminus has raised 400 million yuan ($61 million) in a Series A round funding led by Sequoia Capital China, while ShadowBot has closed its Pre-A and Series A rounds of financing from GL Ventures, GSR Ventures, and others. Alibaba’s Terminus bags over $61m in Series A
Alibaba Cloud-backed new generation business software provider Terminus has completed a Series A round of financing raising more than 400 million yuan ($61 million) led by Sequoia Capital China, per a company statement on Monday. The round was joined by information technology-led investment firm Glory Ventures and shareholder Alibaba Cloud, a subsidiary of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba. Alibaba Cloud is the largest shareholder in Terminus holding a 31.43% stake. Back in 2017, the shareholder exclusively made an undisclosed equity investment in Terminus. Terminus plans to use the proceeds for software development and talent management. Terminus helps enterprises achieve end-to-end operations and digital transformation through building efficient IT infrastructure. The provider has also been backed by Haier Capital, Fortune Capital, Fibonacci VC and Tianjin Venture Capital. GL Ventures backs ShadowBot
Robotic process automation startup ShadowBot on Monday announced that it has secured its pre-A and Series A rounds of financing. The over ‘tens of millions of US dollars’ Series A round funding was led by Hillhouse Capital’s venture unit GL Ventures with participation from new investor GGV Capital and existing backers, GSR Ventures, Redpoint China Ventures and AI-based In Capital. Its pre-A round was joined by GST Ventures and Redpoint China Ventures, the investee said in a WeChat post. The company will use the funds to spruce up product and technology innovation, as well as for customer service support. Headquartered in Hangzhou, ShadowBot operates as an AI and robotics company offering intelligent SaaS applications to help enterprises revamp operation efficiency.
