Dec. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- In the December issue of Apryle VetMD, the International Forum for the Working Equid (IFWE) is profiled. An online forum for the sharing of information about working horses, donkeys, and mules. The IFWE concept was borne from discussions between some of the leading equine welfare organizations hosted by the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) and the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP). These discussions highlighted the benefits that might accrue if all those involved in the health and welfare of working horses around the world could exchange ideas and experiences. The forum is funded equally by The BEVA Trust, AAEP Foundation, The Brooke, The Donkey Sanctuary, SPANA, and World Horse Welfare. The forum is administered by BEVA and AAEP, neither of which directly funds research or field projects dealing with working equids. More than 5000 veterinary professionals, institutions, and companies subscribe to the monthly publication; it is offered free of charge. Subscribe to receive the Apryle VetMD Newsletter from website.
