Der Dentalimplantathersteller Straumann übernimmt die Kontrollmehrheit an der taiwanesischen T-Plus. Die Beteiligung am Hersteller von preislich günstigen Implantatsystemen wird auf 60 Prozent von bisher 49 Prozent ausgebaut. Dazu sei mit bestehenden Aktionären eine Vereinbarungen zum Kauf weiterer Anteile unterzeichnet worden, teilte Straumann am Mittwoch mit. Zum finanziellen Umfang der Transaktion wurden keine Angaben gemacht. 19.09.2018 08:30 T-Plus ist gemäss Mitteilung "finanziell erfolgreich". Der auf die Straumann Group entfallende Ergebnisanteil wird in ihrer Erfolgsrechnung unter "Anteiliges Ergebnis an assoziierten Unternehmen" ausgewiesen. Straumann erwartet, dass die Gruppe T-Plus im vierten Quartal konsolidieren wird. Das taiwanesische Unternehmen ermögliche es Straumann, im Segment der Nicht-Premium-Implantate in China und anderen attraktiven Märkten weiter zu wachsen, hiess es weiter. T-Plus entwickelt und produziert preisgünstige Dentalimplantatsysteme, die über Distributoren in Taiwan und China vertrieben werden. Straumann selbst ist im Premium-Segment erfolgreich unterwegs, insbesondere in China, dem grössten Markt der Region. Vor zwei Jahren ist die Gruppe dort mit der Marke Anthogyr in das stark wachsende Value-Segment eingestiegen. Der Premium-Implantatmarkt in Asien weist gemäss Mitteilung nach wie vor ein grosses Wachstumspotenzial auf. Zugleich werden dort jährlich mehr als sechs Millionen Nicht-Premium-Implantate verkauft, von denen mehr als ein Drittel dem Tiefpreis-Segment angehören. sig/cf
