Alok Advani is CEO of SuckerPunch Gourmet, maker of reimagined pickles, a bold Bloody Mary mix, functional pickle juice shots and travel-size pickle chip pouches. Since joining the company in 2019, Alok has focused on bringing SakkarPunch Gourmet front and mind to the consumers. He grew SuckerPunch’s presence from 4,000 to 14,000 stores across the country, and led the launch of products in two new categories: functional hydration and digestive shots, and pickle pouch snack packs. Under his leadership, the company has experienced 500% revenue growth, and breathed life into a sleepy category. Prior to Sakarpunch, Alok held roles in finance and brand management at a variety of CPG companies. During his tenure as brand manager at Conagra Brands, he led the “emerging brands” acquisition portfolio, integrated the Frontera business into 100 SKUs across 12 categories, launched 22 new products in the ambient, frozen and refrigerated categories, and Approximately $20MM in added annual revenue. He also collaborated on the development of the first Superbowl commercial for Michelob Ultra during his time at Anheuser-Busch InBev. He holds an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northern Illinois University. In his spare time, Alok mentors young CPG professionals, is active in the Chicagoland Food & Beverage community, and enjoys cooking and baking new recipes in his kitchen. He’s an avid woodworker – and has also taught hand-tool classes at the Chicago School of Woodworking. He is a native of Chicago and still lives in the Greater Chicago area.
