Aug 5, 2020

August 5, 2020 Standard Robots (Shenzhen) has raised $14 million in a Series B round led by Lightspeed China Partners and Source Code Capital while iandCode has secured $10 million in its Series A round from Wanxin Capital. Standard Robots nets $14m in Series B round  Chinese industrial robot developer Standard Robots (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd on Friday announced the completion of 100 million yuan ($14 million) in a Series B round of financing jointly led by early-stage investment firm Lightspeed China Partners and Source Code Capital. The round comes soon after it closed an undisclosed strategic investment from Miracle Plus in May 2020, the developer said in the WeChat post. Standard Robots aims to spruce up its product innovation and manufacturing capacity, as well as to expand its overseas presence. Headquartered in Shenzhen, the developer’s top clients include Huawei, Foxconn, ZTE, Shanghai Electric and Country Garden. State-owned Cash Capital had participated in Standard Robots’ Series A round. In 2017, Standard Robots had closed ‘millions of US dollars’ in its pre-A round from Shenzhen Capital Group along with Vinno Capital and others. iandCode raises $10m in Series A round  Guangzhou-headquartered coding platform iandCode has secured $10 million in its Series A round of financing from Hefei-based Wanxin Capital. Potential Capital acted as its financial advisor for the deal, according to a company statement. Set up in 2018, iandCode develops interactive programming classes for pupils. It claims to have 1 million users across 406 cities in China and 23 overseas countries including Canada and Singapore. iandCode will allocate the proceeds to upgrade courses, besides teaching services and AI technologies. iandCode has also been backed by JointForce Fund and ZWC Partners.
