PRESS RELEASE Pension Fund Invests in Stahmann Farms Enterprises PSP Investments buys majority stake in Stahmann Farms Enterprises, Australia’s largest pecan grower. La Luz, NM — (SBWIRE) — 06/23/2017 — A Canadian pension fund, Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments), has purchased a majority stake in Stahmann Farms Enterprises, Australia’s largest pecan grower. Stahmann Farms Enterprises was established in 1971 as an Australian branch of the Stahmann family pecan farm originally founded in New Mexico by Deane Stahmann Sr. in 1932. It has been independent since its spin-off back in 2006. PSP Investments saw the rapidly growing demand for pecans, especially in Asia, as a positive indicator of continued growth for the fund. They are using this influx of cash to help increase production capacity and improve pecan nut processing facilities in the New South Wales and Queensland areas. This investment is yet another indicator of the growing popularity of kosher pecan nuts all over the globe and that investors are taking notice and seeking to profit from this trend. This assures that the Stahmann Farms brand continues to gain recognition as one of the leading pecan growers associated with the production of high quality pecan nuts in the world.
