The Two Boosters Will Be Part of Space Shuttle Endeavour's 20-Story "Ready-to-Launch" Display, the Star Attraction of the Future Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 6, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- The California Science Center reached a major milestone toward its future display of Space Shuttle Endeavour in ready-to-launch configuration with the completed installation of the massive display's two Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs). With the Forward Assemblies installed this week to top off the SRBs, the finished Boosters are the latest achievement in the Science Center's ambitious Go for Stack operation — the unprecedented, multi-phase process of constructing the world's only complete, authentic space shuttle system display. Each SRB is made up of three main components: An Aft Skirt, which forms the base of the 149-foot-tall SRB; the Solid Rocket Motor, which makes up the largest part of the SRB; and the Forward Assembly, the cone-shaped top of the SRB. When fully installed, California Science Center's space shuttle stack will tower 200-feet tall and include the orbiter Endeavour, the two Solid Rocket Boosters, and ET-94, the last remaining flight-qualified External Tank. The exhibit will be the star attraction in the future Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center, a major expansion to the Science Center, which will be completed around the full shuttle stack. This Go for Stack achievement comes just weeks before the current Endeavour exhibition in the Science Center's Samuel Oschin Pavilion is set to close. December 31, 2023 will be the last chance to see Endeavour on exhibit until the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center opens to the public in a few years. While Endeavour is off exhibit, the California Science Center remains one of the largest science centers in the nation, with multiple hands-on exhibit galleries, special exhibitions, and IMAX movies for guests to experience. The two Solid Rocket Motors were installed in November, and the Forward Assemblies were lifted into place Monday and Tuesday of this week, completing the Solid Rocket Boosters. The next step in Go for Stack will be the move and lift of the External Tank, ET-94, anticipated in January, followed by Space Shuttle Endeavour's move across Exposition Park and lift into place. The final step is the intricate mating of the orbiter with the rest of the space shuttle stack later that month. The future Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center is a 200,000 square foot expansion that will double the Science Center's educational exhibit space, adding an impressive collection of 100 authentic artifacts integrated with 100 new hands-on exhibits. Guests of all ages will be encouraged to investigate scientific and engineering principles of atmospheric flight and the exploration of the universe in three major galleries—the Aviation Gallery, Shuttle Gallery, and Space Gallery. Reaffirms full year 2023 guidance of $34 to $40 million

Byron, Georgia Facility Progress — "Stack" Integration on Track for Fourth Quarter Completion
Construction of the greenhouse Phase 1-B was completed in early second quarter and seeding began in April 2023. As part of its Stack & Flow TechnologyTM implementation, the Company completed its first "Stack" zone in the fourth quarter of 2022, with the remaining Stack zones that comprise Phase 1-C to be completed early in the fourth quarter 2023. The Company's Stack & Flow TechnologyTM is expected to add approximately 40% of incremental revenue generating capacity to the finished Georgia facility, which will be comprised of six acres of greenhouses and multiple climate, water, and spectral controlled Stack zones. In early January 2023, the Company started construction of the six-acre facility and has since completed the pad and foundations. The addition of the new facility in northeast Texas is expected to fortify Local Bounti's distribution in markets across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri. Further, the facility is designed to provide additional capacity to meet existing demand from Local Bounti's direct relationships with blue-chip retailers and distributors throughout the region. The Pasco, Washington facility continues to progress with the pad and foundation work now complete. The facility will be comprised of three acres of greenhouse that will be supported by multiple Stack zones. The facility will help bolster the Company's distribution capabilities in the Pacific Northwest and is expected to commence operations early in the first quarter 2024, which reflects the Company's decision to stagger construction to accommodate the commissioning of its Texas facility in the fourth quarter of 2023. The Company ended the quarter with cash and cash equivalents of $7.5 million and approximately $116.5 million of undrawn capacity on its credit facility with Cargill Financial Services International, Inc.  Local Bounti had approximately 104.2 million shares outstanding as of March 31, 2023, and had an additional 81.1 million warrants outstanding and approximately 12.1 million restricted stock units outstanding. As of March 31, 2023, including these warrants and restricted stock units, the Company had a fully diluted share count of approximately 197.4 million shares outstanding. On March 28, 2023 the Company amended its credit agreements with Cargill Financial Services International, Inc. ("Cargill"), expanding the facilities by up to $110 million to a total of up to $280 million. On April 27, 2023 the Company completed its sale-leaseback transaction with an internally managed net-lease real estate investment trust, for approximately $35 million. This cash, combined with proceeds available from our agreement with Cargill, provides us with over $58 million of capital to fund our operations. The Company will be utilizing such cash for general corporate purposes and to support its growth plans and immediate efforts to increase production in order to meet accelerating demand for the Company's products. A Scottish pancake giant is to open a new airport "boutique". Stack & Still, which claims to be the UK’s largest chain of pancake houses, is to open at Glasgow Airport this spring as it prepares to launch its first partnership with a travel operator. The Glasgow-headquartered company, which serves in excess of a million pancakes per annum, will open its latest venture at the airport in May. Stack & Still will create a "new and exciting boutique concept" in the airport’s departure area. The concept "takes the best of Stack & Still’s pancake offering and will introduce bespoke packaging for people to eat at the dedicated seating area or grab and go for an onward flight". The offering will mirror its "highly successful" operation at Edinburgh’s Bonnie & Wild Scottish Marketplace in the St James Quarter. The firm’s ninth branch follows the chain’s expansion south of the Border after its 225-seater restaurant just off London’s Leicester Square opened before Christmas 2022. Stack & Still was launched in 2018 by founders Paul Reynolds and Graham Swankie. The firm already employs over 150 people at its eight locations – including four in Glasgow - and aims to double in size during the next two years, including more locations in London.
