Using Product Labels to Determine Amount of Material for a Termite Service,' takes place on May 26. SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. -  Target Specialty Products  announces the next Business Growth Webinar Series, “Let’s do the Math! Using Product Labels to Determine Amount of Material for a Termite Service”. The  free webinar takes place May 26. Click here to register. Target Specialty Products and Dr. Bob Davis, Technical Services Representative, BASF will present on May 26, from 10:30 am - 11:30 am PST / 1:30 PM - 2:30 pm EST. Davis will discuss details on how to use the product labels and the structure in question to calculate how much material is required to provide a standard termite control service. The first section goes over a termiticide label and the directions provided. These include proper loading and mixing rates, personal protective equipment, container disposal, finished dilution volume application rates, and calibration and application techniques. Differences between preconstruction, post construction and post construction exterior perimeter / localized interior (EP/LI) treatments are discussed. Proper construction of structural diagrams, site measurements, etc. are covered. Bait station installation and maintenance is discussed regarding termite baiting systems. The second section uses the labels and above information to go through sets of structural diagrams to calculate amount of finished dilution required for either a full conventional treatment or an EP/LI treatment. Diagrams for monolithic, floating and supported slabs, crawl spaces, and basements are provided. Methods to perform the calculations are discussed. Continuing Education Credits will be offered for this webinar. Davis is a technical services representative for BASF Professional & Specialty Solutions. His career has included various positions, including fisheries biologist, serving as the technical director for ABC Pest & Lawn Services of Austin, TX, and as a technical field representative for Aventis and Bayer Environmental Sciences. Bob received his undergraduate, master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska (UNL), where his graduate work focused on testing and evaluating termite control materials and techniques. He is a board-certified entomologist and is active in the Entomological Society of America. “We are excited to partner with BASF for this new educational webinar on Termite Control. TACOMA, Wash. - When Jared Wallace started as a service specialist with Sprague Pest Solutions , he didn’t think he would one day be managing a regional team of service specialists, operations managers, and sales representatives. Yet 20 years later, Wallace is doing just that. Wallace, Sprague’s regional manager for Yakima, Pasco, Spokane, Boise, Salt Lake City, and Denver, will be the 36th Sprague employee to have their photo added to the wall of honor at the company’s corporate headquarters in Tacoma. The first employee to make it on the wall, which was recently expanded to a second wall, was Art Bader, who joined Sprague in 1971. “Jared brings a unique skillset and perspective to his job that benefit his co-workers, clients and the communities we serve,” said Ross Treleven, president of Sprague. “The knowledge and experience gained from his time as a service specialist and branch manager allow him to be highly effective in his role as a regional manager. We congratulate him on his 20 years with Sprague and look forward to his continued contributions.” A member of Sprague’s Senior Management Team, Wallace started with Sprague in May 2002 as a service specialist and was promoted to branch manager in Kennewick in 2005. In 2013, he was promoted to district manager and to his current position in 2015. Wallace attended Yakima Valley Community College and worked as a carpenter before making a career change and working with two other pest management companies before joining Sprague. “Sprague’s culture is centered in providing the flexibility and freedom to pursue your career and personal goals,” said Wallace. “This has meant a great deal to me and my family and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work for a company that is 100 percent committed to supporting both its employees and their families.” An avid outdoorsman, Wallace and his wife have two children. In addition to fishing and hunting, Wallace enjoys coaching youth sports, something he has done for more than 20 years. In 2021, Wallace’s daughter, Maddie, was the recipient of Sprague Pest Solutions Scholarship Fund. The fund assists the children of Sprague employees in their pursuits of traditional postsecondary education, technical or vocational training. Maddie is currently enrolled at Yakima Valley Community College.
